Eastern Lights ~ Brittainy C. Cherry
I once met a man on a cold Halloween night. He dressed as a superhero, and I dressed in red. For one night, I was his break from reality, and he was the temporary fix for my broken heart.
Two years later, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to become a senior editor at one of the biggest magazine companies in the world. The only catch? Nail an exclusive interview with New York’s finest bachelor: Connor Roe.
To the rest of the world he was becoming one of the wealthiest men in New York City. To me, he was simply my once upon a time superhero.
My job was to get an exclusive interview with New York’s hottest bachelor. Never in my life did I expect him to want an exclusive with my heart, too.
The only problem with my growing feelings for him? I was set to marry his new business partner
Yay! I LOVED this book and more than that I loved the characters in the book.
The first half of the book is hilarious .
I now declare Connor Roe a.k.a Captain America as my official boyfriend. I have the same doubt as Aaliyah, how can someone be so good? This man and his jokes got me laughing so hard. Just hold on this is only one of the best things about him. The next one which is HUGE is his heart. That man has a heart of GOLD and I am not overacting. He gave Aaliyah , his Red; flashes of love for a night.
“Why did the ketchup blush?”
“ I don’t know .Why?”
“ He saw the salad dressing.”
Aaliyah, she reminded me of me .
“ I don’t know, maybe that’s my role in life. Maybe I am destined to be nothing more than a background character in people’s main stories. I’m just the girl who gives the hero and the heroine coffee.”
(These are my thoughts exactly)
My heart went out for her because of all that she went through but she had Grant . I loved how Grant had a connection to Aaliyah till the end of the book. She was so driven to become a writer but damn she always met the worst guys. I just wanted her to know she deserved the best and she did get Connor.
These two were meant for each other, they deserved each other. There was a part in the book where I had my heart in my mouth . They always stood by each other and for the other. I could feel the tension between them from the beginning . Their romance wasn’t boring at all. It did bring me tears though. I was glad they had a happy ending. Their connection from the rooftop and post it was endless.
