I love this author and this book again proves why. Her characters are so well developed, the storyline was perfectly paced and it felt so realistic and heart warming at the same time..I loved it! This is an enemies to lovers book, second standalone in the series. The guy is a hot, rich, successful business man with a guarded heart. The girl is a successful and extremely caring Inn owner who's honest and upfront in all matters . They butt heads the moment they meet and fight the feelings they have for each other until they can't anymore.
“I was wondering.” “What?” “If it’s uncomfortable.” “If what’s uncomfortable?” “Having your head that far up your ass.” “You’re a real comedian today, Lawson.” “You’re making it easy for me.”
It's not exactly a 'funny' book that makes you laugh but rather emotionally well balanced that gives you the heart eyed smiles. This book gave me butterflies and my god the chemistry was undeniable. This book was wholesome- it had everything to make a well rounded book; well placed side characters, career, family, socialising, drama and finally so much love everywhere. This is the kind of book that leaves you with a happy smile on your face feeling warm and mushy. And in my case jumping around looking for more books like these because it's so addictive.
