The Friend Zone~Abby Jimenez
Kristen Petersen doesn't do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don't get her. She's also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.
Planning her best friend's wedding is bittersweet for Kristen—especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He's funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he'd be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it's harder and harder to keep him at arm's length.
The Friend Zone will have you laughing one moment and grabbing for tissues the next as it tackles the realities of infertility and loss with wit, heart, and a lot of sass
I haven’t read a book this good for a long time, I am so glad I picked this up.
Josh, he had my heart damn him for raising the bar in the boyfriend category. He is a total 100 points guy. Not every man who grows around sisters is as good as Josh.
Kristen, well she never cheats on anyone and I loved that factor so much. I loved how she did what her heart wanted every time (well except the relationship with Josh). I loved her relationship with her best friend, she always stood by her like glue. Kristen is this very thoughtful person, for her what matters is “her people”. I loved her personality. This girl had a huge heart (you will know why I am saying this when you read the book). My heart broke for her so many times.
The first meet of Kristen and Josh was very funny; it clearly stated how meeting some people are meant to be. They ticked off so well. They were in love when they had done it, I was impressed by this factor as it is very hard to find this factor in books these days. I just loved how Josh wouldn’t give up not once, he was madly in love with her. I was hurting with Kristen damn what she did in the book was hard. Josh and Kristen never failed to impress me. Josh could handle Kristen's moods, her hangry mood especially. He knew Kristen more than she did. (Josh can you stop being so good because my heart cannot help and fall for you).
I thought I could predict the story but the author bummed me, I never saw that coming not for once. I was hoping so much even after that. I loved how Josh, Kristen stood by their best friends and vice versa. The last few chapters had me tearing up. This book is full of surprises!
If you do not read this book you are going to miss a beautiful story and A BOOK BOYFRIEND.
