Imitation

A must watch for K-pop fans and music or dance lovers in general. And while I’m not a mega fan of either, I still adored this drama and haven’t stopped thinking even after its been a month since I last watched it.

I feel like this one could come under those ‘under-rated’ dramas that deserve more attention. The plot, the characters, the acting, the music, the humour, THE ROMANCE?!, almost everything about it makes me fall a little bit more in love with this series. I can’t stop swooning over our main lead, Kwon Ryoc. I never thought eyeliner in a man would make me trip over myself but it did.

Getting to the plot - the story is basically about the struggles and lifestyle of Kpop Idols. I learnt so much watching this and my heart goes out to those who are struggling to make a name. We have three main groups:

1. SHAX - the boy band with a tub-full of hot, hotter and hottest guys.
2. Tea Party/ Omega 3 - the girl band that’s cuteness and drama filled.
3. Sparkling - another boy band which almost gave me second lead syndrome.

The main romance is between Kwon Ryoc from SHAX and MaHa from Tea Party. And they are so cute together!! With fragile group dynamics, crazy fans and impossible schedules, they somehow find thier way back to each other all the time.

Theres so much I can tell you about this show, like how cute the romance was, the humour, how amazing the secondary characters were and the other side-romances were, the humour, that bit of suspense they added and did I mention the humour?! Lol…but its only a 12 episode drama so I’ll leave you to experience it for yourself!

But I would like to give light to how mature they made the storyline. Every character that I thought would become toxic eventually turned out to win my heart! *cough* La RiMa *cough*

Watch it for the music and that massively satisfying ending if nothing else. Thier soundtrack has quite literally been on repeat ever since I watched this drama.
